9" SERRATED BLADE

$89.98

Designed for the thickest tasks. Ideal for de-billing a swordfish or getting a clean cut started in an iron-scaled fish.

  • For anglers who need a knife on the boat that can take the bills off of swordfish
  • Perfect for making initial cuts on thick-scaled fish, preserving the sharpness your straight edge blades
  • Venice, Louisiana's favorite jumbo yellowfin tuna knife

Like any effective weapon, this knife was designed to deal maximum damage with precision accuracy. With 70 serrations along its 9.25" long cutting edge, it can do most of the cutting work for you, but we gave this blade a specifically stiff straight blade so you can guide this knife exactly where you need it to go. Used for cutting through hard scaled fish and big, tough tissue and bones, this knife is the closest thing you'll find to a battle tank on the water. Cut anything from frozen bait to swordfish bills with this knife and you'll likely begin to use it more often than you expected. We created this knife because designing and using the right tools for the right jobs is what we do.

Break down the whole fish!

Don’t waste the carcass parts. Those giant rib cages make great soup and fish cakes. And don’t forget about those fried backbones. This serrated blade makes effortless work of it!

Very nice knife. This was an early x-mas present for my father and he was quite happy when he got it.

9" SERRATED BLADE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Hard scales, thick skin, big bones. That's why. The serrated blade was designed like any good weapon, built to deal damage with accuracy. A serrated carbon steel blade is the single most effective tool for slicing through swordfish bills, triggerfish and redfish scales, and any fish species that was designed with battle armor for skin. Our serrated blade is only scalloped on one side, which means the blade's serrations will deal proper damage to thick membranes, but the meat will be protected by the flat side of the blade when used as intended.

  • The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • Unlike a flat blade, a serrated blade should be sharpened with a small diamond rod that is ran through each serration. Visit the DMT Diafold Knife Sharpener product page to see what we use to sharpen our serrated blades.
