The 9" Flexy is the ideal knife for all big fish and game. Created for the biggest of swimmers and critters, it boasts a 9.5" long cutting edge with a deep belly for long, smooth cuts. A knife for big fish needs a strong backbone to give you control over a blade tip that is 9" away from the handle, but it also needs the ability to flex around bones at this distance as well. That's why this blade has a thicker spine near the handle, while the forward half of the blade tapers toward the tip to provide maximized tip flexibility. This design creates a perfect balance of control and play, giving you ultimate confidence when cleaning your "talk of the table" fish.

Was excited to get my knifes but when I opened the box and saw MADE IN CHINA was really disappointed. Should have done more research.

  • After the success of the 7" Flexy at cleaning tables nationwide, it was time for a longer blade that better suited the big tunas, pelagics, and bigger bottom fish. We made this blade with enough flexibility to get all the way down on the cleaning table, but with enough backbone to punch through tougher fish. We made it for the people who prefer a longer blade but don't want to forgo the maneuverability of a short blade.

  • The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.
