A blade that could withstand the conditions we all put ourselves and all of our equipment through. These dreams took life in the original SORD fillet knife, the 7" Medium Flex.

This blade is designed to have more backbone and about 35% less flex than the 7" Flexy to give you the ability to drive it confidently through thicker skin and tougher fish. This is a true all-around fillet knife. It has cleaned just about every species in the Gulf of Mexico and has become a nationwide favorite because of the confidence that a well-built knife provides at the cleaning table and on the water.

The 7" Medium Flex was the very first knife we created. Why did we do it? Well, after decades of fishing and abusing every tool we touched, we were tired of coming home from a day of smashing fish just to have our fillet knives causing us unnecessary headache. So at that, we created a better one. One that is built to withstand the abuse and be the cherry on top to any good day of fishing. We are so confident in this knife that we backed all of our blades with a lifetime warranty.
The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.
The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.
The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.
