The 7" Flexy uses the same intricately crafted blade shape as its sister blade, the 7" Medium Flex, but takes on the personality of the more "freebird" family member. This blade is designed like any good inshore rod, sufficient backbone up the spine, with a flexible tip. Compared to the 7" Medium Flex, the 7" Flexy will flex about 35% further, making it fantastic for removing your fillets from the fish's skin while the backbone of the blade provides you with total control over your cuts. Our Flexy blades truly provide the best of both worlds, confident control and freeing flexibility.

  • We designed this knife due to more and more fisherman demanding a more flexible version of the flagship 7” Medium Flex. They love the 7" Medium Flex for its ability to punch through the tough skin, bones, and tissue of tougher fish, and they begged for the same knife but with a blade that would flex all the way down onto the cleaning table for removing fillets off the fish's skin. This blade is the perfect option for anyone who prefers a blade that is more flexible than stiff, and it serves as a middle ground flex option between our Super Flex and Medium flex blades.

  • The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.
