FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We made the 9" Medium Flex for the hardcore deepwater angler. This is the blade for your deepwater giants. We made it with enough flexibility to maneuver around bones, but with the backbone to punch through them if you need to. This one is for the big dogs.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.

  • The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.
