The SORD 5" Utility Knife was designed with the idea that we needed to have a knife to grab for any and every random activity that requires a blade. This specific knife has been used to cut the bellies out of mahi-mahi for swordfish baits, debone a spanish mackerel for a pitch bait, and to cut through the shirt of a first mate that accidentally got hooked by a few sabikis. This knife will clip onto the side of a five-gallon bucket and be ready for any use.

  • This knife was carefully designed for bleeding and gutting fish, cutting fresh or frozen bait, and being your go-to tool on the water. It clips to the side of a 5 gallon bucket, but it's small enough to be worn on the hip or hang out in a cupholder. We made it because we were sick of cutting bait on a rocking boat with a bulky, slippery knife. Now, we don't leave the dock without it.

  • The knife comes with a custom-fitted kydex sheath that will lock the knife inside with a click. This sheath is outfitted with a belt clip that will clip onto a 5-gallon bucket or onto your fishing shorts without the need to wear a belt.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.
